To better assist WCAEA international affairs and collaboration with global partners, WCAEA International Affairs Division is looking for 6 - 9 volunteers who are visual arts educators and will serve as WCAEA International Affairs Secretaries. This voluntary term is one year and can be renewed. We will issue a digital WCAEA's Volunteer Certificate at the end of the service. WCAEA International Affairs is a diverse and collaborative community. We welcome any teachers who are enthusiastic about art teaching and learning to join this big family! Introduction of WCAEA:
The World Chinese Arts Education Association (WCAEA) is a non-profit and educational organization. It is the only international organization serving Chinese and Chinese descent arts educators worldwide. Following UNESCO's Universal Declaration on Cultural Diversity, WCAEA promotes multicultural inclusion through arts education and serves as a bridge and platform to connect international visual arts educators, spreading Chinese culture to the world. WCAEA is affiliated with the International Society for Education Through Art (InSEA) and partnered with the Turkish Visual Arts Education Association (Görsel Sanatlar Eğitimi Derneği, GÖRSED), Malaysian Junior Art Education Association (MYJAEA), and the Association of Cultural Offices in Philippine Education Institute (ACOPEI). Secretaries Main Responsibilities: Attend meetings, assist the Secretaries-General's work and any WCAEA's activities involving international affairs and outreach.
Communication and Translation: assist Secretaries-General in handling international liaison and outreach, cultural exchanges, and translation work.
Visual Design and Promotion: promote international activities, design promotional materials, edit videos, maintain the official website and social media accounts.
Paperwork and Finance: in-charge of note-taking, scheduling, copywriting, budget analysis, and financial records and reports.
Planning and Execution: assist the Secretary-General to plan, prepare, execute, and report international affairs' activities.
Working hours: There is no fixed working time, and the time is arranged according to the urgent needs of work.
Benefit: WCAEA membership fee will be waived during the voluntary term. If volunteers remain services for two years or more can apply for a membership fee waiver for another two years.
Language Requirements:
Qualified candidates should meet the following:following:
received an associate degree or above; has work experience related to visual art education (a fresh graduate with more than one year of art education internship or work experience can also be considered);
has a sense of responsibility and community, be able to work independently, efficiently, and collaboratively;
Volunteers who intend to work for visual design and promotional work should have good visual and aesthetic senses and know how to use design and film production software (candidates who have relevant design and editing work experience are preferred).

协会简介：

国际事务部秘书助理主要职责： 参与世华国际事务内部会议、协助秘书长工作、辅助联盟协会的合作活动、协助世界华人美术教育大会等重要活动。
沟通和翻译：辅助秘书长处理协会国际联络和文化交流工作；负责中英文翻译。
视觉和宣传：负责宣传与设计、视频制作和剪辑，网页和社交媒体维护和更新。
文字和数字：会议记录与安排、攥写活动宣传文案和新闻稿；财务分析记录和汇报。
策划和执行：辅助秘书长策划活动、撰写计划书、筹备和落实活动具体项目、汇总活动。
工作时间：义工的工作没有固定时间，个人根据工作量和急缓程度来安排时间。
义工福利：义工任期期间免会员费，志愿服务满24个月的助理可以申请世华会员并免除两年会员费。
语言能力要求：
申请者需具备以下条件：
大专或以上；有从事视觉艺术教育相关的工作经历（应届毕业生有一年以上的美术教育实习或者工作经历也可以考虑）；
具有责任心和良好的沟通能力，能够独立处事，效率高，有强烈的团队合作精神；
有意向负责视觉和宣传的义工老师需具备有良好的视觉感知和审美，懂得使用设计和影片制作软件（有相关设计和剪辑工作经历的优先考虑）。
